These Terms and Conditions refer to The Lighthouse Soft Play and the Café
For the safety of its users, The Lighthouse Soft Play and Café (known thereafter as The Lighthouse) has implemented the following regulations to ensure that all users of our facility are safe and comfortable. Please ensure you follow the rules accordingly.
At The Lighthouse we attempt to ensure the complete safety of all our visitors however, it is the responsibility of parents/guardians to supervise the child/children that they bring on site. We advise that supervision should occur with a ratio of one adult for every six children over the age of five and one adult for every three children under five.
• Children will only be allowed use of the facility when in the company of an adult.
• Children always remain the responsibility of their accompanying parent/guardian whilst on the premises.
• Parents/guardians should ensure an appropriate level of supervision to reflect their children’s capabilities
• Please ensure that any jewellery, badges, rucksacks are left with parents/guardians before entering soft play area. Spectacles should only be worn if used with a retainer and shatterproof lenses. Any hearing aids or other necessary aids should be appropriately secured
• Clothing with loose cords should not be worn in the play area.
• No sharp objects may be taken into the play area.
• Please remove shoes before entering the play area (this includes any adults entering the soft play structure. Socks must be worn at all times.
• Please do not play in front of slide exit.
• No food, drinks or chewing gum should be taken into the soft play structure
• To minimise the spread of diseases, children who are unwell should not enter the play area.
• Strictly no alcohol consumption or smoking (including e-cigarettes) or vaping is allowed in the building or on the Church’s premises.
• Please ensure that any photography is only of the child/children in your care and does not include other adults/children who are not part of your party.
• Children are advised to wear long sleeves and long trousers/tights in order to minimise the risk of personal injury.
• In the interest of safety, all height and age restrictions for equipment must be adhered to.
• Management reserve the right to refuse entry.
• Abusive behaviour to The Lighthouse staff from adults or children will not be tolerated.
• Fighting or bullying will not be tolerated and staff reserve the right to ask customers to leave the premises and no refund for the session will be given.
• The Lighthouse cannot accept responsibility for loss or theft of personal items brought onto the premises. This includes cars (and any contents therein) parked on the church’s premises.
• Through design, maintenance and daily operations, The Lighthouse has taken every reasonable step to control the inherent risks associated with children playing e.g. moderate physical activity, tripping, falling, and bumping into fixed objects and other children. Parents/guardians must recognise and accept that due to the nature of the operation, it is impossible to eliminate such risks whilst providing a stimulating environment.
• The Lighthouse reserves the right to alter times of operation, prices, menus and equipment available without prior notification.
• No outside food or drinks to be consumed on the premises, (this excludes baby food and birthday cakes brought in for pre-booked soft play parties)
• Late arrival to a pre-booked or on the day session time will result in only the remaining time available in the session. This is due to session times being fixed to allow for cleaning between sessions.
• In the event of any issues or concerns, please contact a member of staff.
